Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
VideoUpscaler ("VideoUpscaler", "we", "us") is an online service that uses AI to upscale and enhance video files. This policy explains what data we collect when you use videoupscaler.co, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and what choices you have.
VideoUpscaler and videoupscaler.co are operated by SailorFlow LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its office at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. SailorFlow LLC is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service.
1. Data we collect
Account data
When you create an account we store your email address, your display name and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (name, email address and profile picture). Sign-in codes sent by email are stored only until they expire.
Videos you upload
To upscale a video we have to receive it. We store the original file you upload, the processed result, a preview thumbnail and technical metadata about the file (duration, resolution, size, format). We do not watch your videos, use them to train AI models or share them with anyone except the infrastructure providers listed below that process them on our behalf.
Usage and billing data
We record the tasks you run (resolution chosen, duration, credits charged or refunded, status), your credit balance and history, and the products you buy. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Technical data
Like most websites we automatically receive your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit and how you interact with them, error reports and performance measurements. We use cookies and similar technologies for signing you in, remembering your preferences (such as language) and for analytics.
Messages you send us
If you contact us through the contact form or by email we keep the message, your name and your email address so that we can reply.
Desktop app
The VideoUpscaler desktop app processes your videos on your Mac; they are not uploaded to us. To run your license, the app sends us your account sign-in, a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware identifier (used to keep one free trial per Mac and one active Mac per account) and the times it signs in. We do not receive your Mac's identifier itself. When you start a free trial of the desktop app, our payment providers give us your card's fingerprint (an identifier of the card, not its number) or your PayPal payer ID, which we keep so that each card and PayPal account gets one trial.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the service: receive your video, process it on GPU servers, deliver the result and show it in your history.
- To manage your account, credits and payments, including refunds for failed tasks.
- To send transactional emails such as sign-in codes, receipts and important service notices.
- To understand how the service is used and to fix bugs and improve performance.
- To measure the results of our advertising, for example whether a visitor who arrived from an ad signed up or made a purchase.
- To prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your videos for marketing or AI training.
3. Legal bases (for users in the EEA and UK)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, analytics, improving the service, advertising measurement), to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records) and, where required, with your consent (for example non-essential cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. How long we keep data
- Uploaded videos, results and thumbnails: kept for 30 days after processing so that you can download your results from your history, then deleted automatically. They are deleted earlier if you delete the task or your account.
- Account, task and billing records: kept for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as required for accounting and tax purposes or to resolve disputes.
- Sign-in codes: deleted when they expire.
- Analytics data: kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
You can delete individual tasks from your history at any time. To delete your account and the data linked to it, contact us at the address below.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that we need to run VideoUpscaler, and only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Cloudflare (file storage and content delivery) stores your uploaded videos and results.
- RunPod (GPU cloud) runs the AI model that processes your videos; files are transferred there for processing only.
- Vercel hosts the website and provides basic, cookie-free traffic analytics.
- Stripe processes payments and stores your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Google provides optional Google sign-in and advertising conversion measurement.
- PostHog and, where enabled, Microsoft Clarity provide product analytics that help us understand how the service is used.
- Resend delivers our transactional emails.
We may also disclose data when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or as part of a merger or acquisition of the service, in which case this policy continues to apply.
6. International transfers
Our providers operate servers in several regions, including the United States. Where data leaves the EEA or UK we rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. You can update your name and email address in your account settings, delete tasks from your history and request account deletion by contacting us. We answer requests within 30 days.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on our storage and databases, signed, expiring download links for your files, and payment processing that keeps card details away from our servers. No online service can guarantee absolute security; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
VideoUpscaler is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will notify you by email or with a notice on the website.
